Troy started his career at the age of 5 with the Washington D.C. Youth Orchestra which allowed him to perform at various high profile locations in D.C. . Later, he studied under Tsuna Sakamoto, a violist for the National Symphony Orchestra.

Around this time Troy was also classically trained in piano and later studied the drums, guitar, and bass. At the age of 16, Sakamoto advised Troy to attend the prestigious Meadowmount School of Music to hone his skills even further. It was during this time that Troy was able to write his own music and develop his own sound in the form of instrumentals. After graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park studying Viola Performance under Katherine Murdock, he has been writing and producing his own music and performing locally.
